Milwaukee Engagement Photographer:  Lisa & Stephen!

As a Milwaukee engagement photographer, we often have a lot of freedom to explore the new.  New locations, our first time working with a couple who are often first-timers in front of a camera, new inside jokes, etc.  With Lisa and Stephen, the main directives were finding a balance of urban and nature and make sure to get some fall colors in the photos.  These are not uncommon requests and we have a mental rolodex of past successes to help guide us and our couples.

Eron had the enviable task of hanging out with this awesome couple.  He thought under the Hoan Bridge would be a great place to start.  It’s clearly industrial but also has endless little pockets of possibilities.  In one of those pockets they even found some fall colors!  They did have some wind to contend with.  The interesting thing about wind is it can completely ruin a shot or make a couple into rock stars.  It’s all about perspective!

Skipping over to South Shore Park, Eron took advantage of the waning light and remaining leaves to bring in a bit more of the autumnal feel.  Eron also took advantage of this opportunity to shoot through the crystals Amanda introduced the studio to.  We are always seeking new and creative ways to interpret beauty.  We have many tools to use and the shoot-throughs that Amanda has introduced is another one in our arsenal!

In discussing the possible locations for their engagement session, Lisa and Stephen mentioned that their first date was at Rochambo on Brady Street.  That immediately jumped to the head of the list of must-have locations.  Not only is it a very significant place for them, but Eron spent fair amount of time at this coffee shot in his formative years dreaming about what kind of self-employed he would become.  It all comes full circle!
