Milwaukee Engagement Photographer:  Steph & Andy!

It was so much fun to stroll around the Third Ward with Steph and Andy on this beautiful afternoon!  As a Milwaukee engagement photographer, we have a lot of opportunities to discover different areas and the dynamic between different couples that make them a unique combo.  Steph and Andy led us to this discovered location.  While the Third Ward is Milwaukee’s worst kept secret, this specific starting location was so new it’s not even finished!  This is the location of Steph and Andy’s future condo!  We thought it would be fun and timely to document them at this moment in time when their future home, like their future as a whole, is just being built.

But this was just the starting point.  The fun of the rest of the shoot was wandering around an area we know so well searching for new ways to interpret it.  Steph and Andy’s 100% laid back attitude combined with their genuine interest in others set the tone for the rest of the shoot.  They were generally curious about the inner workings of a photographer, the camera, the lifestyle…everything.  We spent more time laughing together than taking photos.  That comfort level led to some very real photos that day.  Once that level of familiarity is established, it never goes away.  There is tangible and pure excitement for what will come from the wedding day.  Much of that is owed to the experience we shared nearly a full year before that anticipated day will arrive.

This view of the Milwaukee River almost looks like it could be a completely different city.

There is nothing better than catching the last rays of a setting sun both in the background and reflecting directly on the subjects!  These fleeting opportunities are the ones that excite us most!
