Milwaukee Engagement Photographer: Ashly & Matt!

Some couples come to us looking for a Milwaukee engagement photographer that will bring their Pinterest page to life for them. Others come to us as a blank slate and ask us to discover inspiration. Ashly and Matt were somewhere in the middle, which is perfect. They gave us some ideas of what they like, what they don’t like and let us run with that. This helped us know which elements were important to work into the plan but gave us the freedom to put those pieces together to maximize each aspect.

They live near Frame Park and loved the idea of using this familiar beauty as their background. They wanted a wardrobe change to have some more formal photos and some more casual. Something for the wall and something for the fridge. Matt proposed at the ice cream shop in downtown Waukesha so that was also a must-have stop during the session.

Pristine nature, an adorable downtown, and a location with emotional significance leads us to photographic success! Add a couple madly in love and willing to be a little playful in front of a camera and now we have the perfect session!

Since Ashly and Matt had two outfits and two locations, we had some mixing and matching possibilities from which to choose. We decided the more formal look would fit well in Frame Park with the rich colors of the nature playing off the neutral palette of their wardrobe. Knowing we would end up in downtown Waukesha eating ice cream, it felt right to make those photos more casual in general. We easily could have gone the other way, but after chatting through the options with Ashly and Matt we were all most excited about this plan.

We love when we get to work the proposal location into an engagement session and Divino Gelato Cafe was adorable!
