Milwaukee Engagement Session: Courtney & Nate!
On a crisp but beautiful day, Courtney and Nate were rock stars, always up for whatever it took to get the best light. They took their time with this shoot, wandering Milwaukee’s Third Ward and just enjoying the experience. They even stopped for a mid-shoot beer where Neil and Nate bonded over talk of steaks. This is a great example of an engagement session where sharing this experience together helped Neil really get to know this couple and helped them feel totally comfortable being in front of Neil’s camera.
Building the relationship is always an important aspect of an engagement session. For Courtney and Nate, it was monumental. Their wedding journey has already included booking a photographer, doing an engagement session and being terribly unhappy with it. They chose their first photographer based on price but realized after that shoot that saving the money wasn’t worth risking the quality of their wedding photos.
That’s when they came to us to explore possibilities. In the end, they decided that Neil would be the perfect fit. This engagement session is the final piece that will help them let go of any stress surrounding photos on their wedding day. They know exactly how it will feel working with Neil and how awesome they will look in their photos. The benefit of being able to enjoy your wedding day fully is hard to overstate.

We can thank Colectivo’s overhead heaters for making this photo possible!
It took some patience to get this shot in front of The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts! They had to wait for the lights to cycle to get the look they were going for.
