Chicago Engagement Photographer: Jenny & Kyle!

Being based in Milwaukee, but shooting all over the world, it is not uncommon that we find ourselves transformed into a Chicago engagement photographer. Generally when that happens, it’s a couple that is getting married in Milwaukee but lives in Chicago. We cherish those opportunities to get out of our comfort zones! Not only does it give us a chance to include locations of personal everyday significance to a couple, but it also lets us get to know them in the setting where their relationship has developed. Plus getting into a totally new neighborhood is always refreshing. The drive down to Chicago also gives us a solid 90 minutes to reflect on all the reasons we love what we do and ways to reinvent it once again for this couple.

For Jenny and Kyle, this was certainly the case. Rather than asking Amanda what locations to use, she met them at their place and let them show her around! Of course they were totally open to her suggestions as she found inspiration all around her. They started out just strolling their neighborhood, interpreting the everyday sights they experience. From there they went downtown to explore the river and lake views as well as the Chicago skyline at night. Whether in their casual outfits outside their front door or formal attire on the lakefront, Jenny and Kyle are authentic and loving, and not afraid to be playful in front of others!

This is the L train station Jenny and Kyle use every day. Now this small detail in their lives will be immortalized as one of the elements of the beginning of their lives together!

We are so in love with the romance of a glowing city at night and Chicago’s version of that background is certainly impressive!
