Events to a T Wedding: Thad & Tommy!

So many roads were traveled on the way to Thad and Tommy’s Events to a T wedding. Thad’s parents took a road less traveled in their day as they are a mixed race couple whose relationship began at a time when that was a rarity. Thad and Tommy themselves grew up never imagining this wedding was a possibility. And then there is the literal interpretation of “roads” and “traveling”. After the engagement four years ago, Thad and Tommy kept putting the wedding off in order to honor their passion for seeing as much of the world as possible. As time went on and family kept aging, it was time to take the big step they had both been imagining for years.

Thad and Tommy were honored to have their best men and groomsmaids stand up with them on this lovely day.

One of the highlights of the day was Thad and Tommy opening their jeweler-wrapped, wax sealed Cartier ring boxes. This was the first time they had seen their rings in person, a “ring reveal” if you like, and the look on Thad’s face was priceless.

Kicking off this emotional ceremony was a touch of humor by the groomsmaids followed by the most important women in Thad and Tommy’s lives walking each of them down the aisle. From that moment on it was a joyful, tearful ceremony for everyone in attendance. While the right for Thad and Tommy to wed has been recently won, they are keenly aware that that could change. This set of circumstances wasn’t lost on anyone and added another emotional layer to this beautiful ceremony.

Thad and Tommy chose two of Milwaukee’s most historic spaces for their wedding: Milwaukee County Historical Society for the ceremony and Grain Exchange for their reception. They love the classic architecture of each location and their iconic Milwaukee status.

This was a first for us: a live champagne table!

Thad and Tommy dancing with their moms was about as sweet as it gets. How do you follow that up? Perhaps with a cameo appearance by Biz Markie?!?  Of course, that’s the answer and baby, just what we neee-eeed!
