Milwaukee Engagement Photographer: Nicole & Renato!

Nicole and Renato weren’t super stoked about working with a Milwaukee engagement photographer.  Nor were they fearful.  They were thrilled to have Amanda for their wedding but, admittedly, had no idea what to expect when they met up with her for their engagement session. 

This is not an uncommon sentiment and one of the main reasons we love sharing the engagement session experience with our couples.  To see them go from a place of ignorant apprehension to exuberant comprehension is quite thrilling.  There is a direct line that we can draw from that metamorphosis to a more relaxed wedding day experience.

The bonus is when our couples call us afterward to express their gratitude and excitement for their engagement photos.  It’s usually with an air of incredulous mystification that this message comes through.  Like, “How did you take us newbies and make us look like veteran models?!?”  Generally, the answer centers around finding your love and forgetting about the camera.  Amanda received such a call from Nicole and it made her day.

It makes sense that couples come into an engagement session with little knowledge about what’s expected of them.  Often, this experience is the first one a couple has had with a professional photographer. This is the other reason we love when couples add this element to their package.  Having this experience together before the wedding day creates positive memories both with the photographer and with each other in front of a camera.

Now, Nicole and Renato’s wedding is right around the corner!  The air may be a little chillier than it was at their engagement session, but, thanks to this experience, they’ll be all warmed up to the photographic process.   Amanda loved working with them and creating a story through the choice of locations and poses.  Now she can’t wait to meet the rest of the family and capture the emotions bubbling to the surface at their wedding!
