Milwaukee Wedding Photographer: Ashly & Matt!
Ashly and Matt weren’t just looking for a Milwaukee wedding photographer, they were looking for a Wisconsin winter magician! When they chose to have a winter wedding in Wisconsin, they assumed snow would be part of the deal and embraced the concept. When their day rolled around and it was a balmy 50 degrees, it took some finagling to achieve their long-adopted vision. And achieve we did! All it took was some insta-snow (just add water!) and a quick trip to The Rock Sports Complex in Franklin where their ski hill still had some of the white stuff!
Ashly’s amazing veil was originally her mom’s from 1967! Something borrowed, indeed!
We have a lot of fun creating “shoot-throughs” lately. That means we have added to our bag of tricks different types of translucent items that we can use to add a little sparkle to images where ever we are! For years we have found environmental opportunities (chandeliers, glasses,…) to add ethereal elements to images. Now we bring our own!
Western Lakes Golf Club was a lovely location for Ashly and Matt’s reception. Even thought it was the wrong season for golf, there were loads of opportunities there to make beautiful photos.
Ashly and Matt’s wedding was also the third wedding for us with this family! We shot Matt’s brother’s wedding and his cousin’s wedding over the years. It is always great to see a family for another event and to know half the crowd when we arrive at the wedding! Especially with these families where everyone is uniquely warm toward each other seemingly at all times. There are times when families are an aspect of a wedding that a couple has to appease and tolerate. With Ashly and Matt, it was quite the opposite. This day was a celebration of family.
