There’s a lot that goes into weddings. Planning every detail can be somewhat overwhelming, especially when you’re doing it yourself. Laura had a terrific wedding, so we asked her “I would say to start as soon as possible. I’m a procrastinator and it’s stressful to try and get all the little things done at the last minute. Sam says “google spreadsheets for the win”. Try to list everything out to stay as organized as you can. Also, [I’d say] to do things how you want to. Don’t let the opinions of others get in the way, it’s YOUR day!” Sound advice!
Their details were absolutely heartfelt and personal to them. Laura’s grandmother passed away shortly before the wedding and little touches like her brooch and earrings in the bridal bouquet were really special details and helped Laura keep her near even so. She also wore a ring from her other grandma. Sam really likes scratch offs so they made them a fun favor. She loves stripes and they made sure to include them throughout the wedding textiles – like in the boutonnières and table runners.
Those details helped make things feel like the couple and tell their story throughout the day. We’d say Laura gave some solid advice and took it too – we love that they made their day completely their own. We wish you many years of happiness!
