Milwaukee Engagement Photographer: Becca & Troy!

Being a Milwaukee engagement photographer doesn’t mean we are limited to the Milwaukee metropolitan area. For Becca and Troy, we went out to Delafield.  They really love nature and light and wanted to make the most of the fall foliage  Considering their wedding will be almost exactly one year from the date of their engagement session and also out in that area of the state, it was a great preview of what to expect once the big day arrives.

This was an ideal situation for us. After years of being a Milwaukee engagement photographer, we have learned just what ingredients we need to cook up a successful experience: time, light, location, and a crazy in love couple. All it takes is about 90 minutes for us to transform a couple from unsure of how to be in front of a camera to knowingly optimistic and confident! The perfect range of light to get a great variety of tones and lighting situations comes at about an hour before sunset to just after. We love being able to start out with warm sunlight, then segue into sharp silhouettes, and wrap up with soft sunset light. Choosing the right location is the last and equally as important component.

Delafield was a great choice for Becca and Troy as there is a lot of variety within walking distance from any starting point and also legitimate nature just outside of town.  The fact that you can almost see their chapel in the background didn’t hurt either!

Becca’s father loaned them this beautiful classic car for the shoot. Keep an eye out, it may make another appearance at the wedding!
