Milwaukee Engagement Photographer: Devin and John!
As a Milwaukee Engagement photographer, we learned long ago that this experience together is the best way to break down barriers and get to know a couple. Luckily, with Devin and John, we were friends before our photographic relationship began. However, traipsing around the park, the beach and random Shorewood neighborhoods took our friendship to a whole new level.
Back to the scene of the crime, this is the very spot where John proposed to Devin!
With their wedding coming up this weekend, Eron was really excited that he got to experience them through his lens on this beautiful afternoon. It will go a long way toward them being able to stay present throughout their wedding day and not feel conscious about the cameras being aimed at them.
Atwater Park was a fantastic location to take in the last rays of the sunset as well as the expanse of the lakefront.
We couldn’t wrap up the shoot without a stop at the original Camp Bar. Not only is this one of the hottest spots in Shorewood, but John also used to work here and he and Devin have spent countless evenings here as their relationship developed. Also, there’s a moose on the wall.
As a subject of photos, it’s a natural feeling to wonder if you are doing it right and if you will love the way you look in the photos. Luckily, that feeling is easily overcome. The clicking of a camera is an incredibly affirming sound when you’re the one in front of it. Hearing that sound makes you assume you’re doing something right. Seeing the results and loving them confirms it. It’s this combination that make engagement sessions so powerful. You want to feel your best on your wedding day and this type of confidence is one small part of that.
