Milwaukee Engagement Photographer: Megan & Sam!

Sometimes being a Milwaukee engagement photographer means seeing an old friend and making a new one!  After shooting both of Megan’s sisters’ weddings over the years, that’s what this day felt like. We hadn’t had the chance to meet Sam yet, but there’s nothing better to break the ice than a game of chase the light all over downtown Milwaukee.  After spending the afternoon with both of them, there’s no question this will be the next great wedding and marriage for this fantastic family.

Internally, we went back and forth coming up with a plan for Megan and Sam’s engagement session. They are the best kind of laid back clients.  The kind that give us the freedom to choose most any location as long as it is both epic and intimate. Since they are working with Dynamic Events by David Caruso for their wedding, we decided to call them for their input. Together, we came up with this view overlooking the city as well as finding some pockets of nature nearby. After strolling around downtown for a bit, we wrapped up with a couple of Riverwalk views, ensuring a well-rounded session with all the variety we were looking for!

There are many reasons people hire us as their Milwaukee engagement photographer. For some, it’s just to get comfortable being in front of the cameras prior to the wedding. For others, custom made Save-the-Date cards are also on their agenda. Such was the case with Megan and Sam. Below is the design we created for them! The first one is the front of the card and the second is the back. We created an accordion style, which means these long, narrow sides will each fold into five vertical panels. With such a variety of images with which to work, the possibilities for these cards were endless. We chose this style because it would allow us to have one panoramic image take up an entire side, while we could use the other side to tell more of their story.
