Sometimes choosing the location of a Milwaukee engagement session can be the most challenging aspect of the shoot. How do you choose between urban versus nature, formal versus casual, daytime versus night time? For Monika and mike, the choice was obvious. Seven Bridges is very special to them because it’s where Mike proposed to Monika. We love when there is an emotional connection to the location. It is always easier to tell a couple’s story when we can be in a place that means a lot to them.
The story of Monika and Mike is a fun one. They were set up by two of their friends and they first met at a wedding where they were, respectively, the maid of honor and best man. Seems like love was in the air at that wedding. Howeverm it took a full three years later for the stars to aligned and that’s when they started dating.
Monika is quite the adventurous climber! She likes to hike and climb on rocks (not as a sport, but just for fun) while Mike gets a little scared. In fact, during this engagement session, Mike’s glasses fell off of the bridge (or so we think), so bold Monika climbed down to try to find them! Unfortunately, she was unsuccessful but that anecdote is a microcosm of the two of them.
We can’t wait to see what an adventure their wedding will be this summer at Zilli Lake and Gardens in downtown Milwaukee!
