Événement Planning Wedding: Daniel & Nicole!

Daniel and Nicole’s story is pretty incredible. They’re one of those couples you meet and can instantly tell that they’re meant for each other. And with a history like theirs, fate would probably agree too.

They met by a stroke of luck. Nicole was scheduled to go on a Contiki tour, a tour company that boasts of adventure holidays for 18 to 35 year olds. But something told her to move her date, so at the very last moment, she swapped her date for another. Coincidentally, Daniel was also scheduled for a Contiki tour on her new tour date. They met and one simple question broke the ice – “What’s your favorite movie?” Both Lord of the Rings super fans, the two connected after that and Nicole knew that they weren’t just going to be friends. And fittingly enough, in the most romantic city, the two shared their first kiss under the Eiffel Tower and have been falling in love every day since despite many miles between them. Nicole visited Australia and met his family and he visited her family in the States, but also made the best of their distance by exploring other countries as well!

Many more adventures and frequent flyer miles later, Nicole and Daniel were united and ready for their wedding day! The girls began at the soothing Wells Spa while the boys kicked back and had a spa treatment of their own at the “Herzog Resort” – her family’s home. Because of their traveling and Australian family members, they were blessed to have many international guests, some of whom have never been to the States before!

The amount of support from all of the wedding party, friends and family was incredibly powerful and moving. They truly were so happy for Nicole and Daniel to have found each other and to be finally be married.

Sarah, her stepmom gifted Nicole a Tiffany heart necklace with her new monogram with an inside joke from her own wedding. Daniel commissioned Nicole’s niece to create a piece of art of them (they opted last minute not to go with a Lord of the Rings scene but instead a dreamy portrait of the two) which had everyone tearing up. Nicole’s birth parents gave a short but poignant speech and her dad spoke of his adoration in a funny and memorable toast.

Their favorite detail from their événment Milwaukee Art Museum wedding was the music because it set the whole scene. And we’d have to agree – moments before Daniel was to go down the aisle, their wedding song came on. He was instantly reminded and flooded with the love he has for Nicole. And when it was time for her to come out and marry the love of her life, Lakeside Strings bowed a beautiful and soaring song. The whole room had to wipe away tears of happiness and pride that these two humble and loving people were marrying their soulmate.

We’re so grateful we got to document your day and learn your story, Nicole and Dan! It was definitely a night to remember!
