Milwaukee Wedding Photographer: Katie & Jimmy!

As a Milwaukee wedding photographer, Eron often finds himself in someone’s home, in someone’s family, in someone’s life for a brief, but meaningful period. Such was the case with Katie and Jimmy. The day started in the Maid of Honor’s partially renovated farmhouse, with the overwhelming feeling of excitement for Katie and this long-awaited day. Indeed, there was a party atmosphere all morning with the most eclectic mix of music one could possibly put together – from country to hip-hop, all was enjoyed thoroughly.

The getting ready process is always one of palpable excitement. Above you can see Katie’s bridesmaid and Jimmy’s sister sewing a button from Katie’s Grandma’s dress into her dress. Below is Jimmy helping Katie’s youngest son, Bo, and Bo “helping” Jimmy get ready with Grandpa looking on. Such a sweet moment for this newly formed family.

This beautiful stained glass makes the Irish Cultural Heritage Center even more stunning.

What to do on a rainy wedding day?  We hit the public library!  No time to check out any reading material, but the photographic opportunities were stunning.

Being Milwaukee wedding photographers, we get to quite a variety of venues in town. However, this was the first time Eron had been to the Crown Plaza Milwaukee Airport. After going through some major renovations recently, there has been an infusion of character into this hotel!

Who says rain is a hindrance on a wedding day? By the time we got to the end of the night, we were hoping the rain would come back for a moment.  It had been a large part of the day but not at the moments when we could use it as an element in the photos. We brought many umbrellas and barely got to use them! However at the very last moment, the rain started up again and we were able to steal Katie and Jimmy away from their guests to create this classic image of a couple on a wonderful day, sheltering each other from the storm.
