Pabst Best Place Wedding: Becky & Jake!
Becky and Jake’s Pabst Best Place wedding had all the elements we love in a wedding: a laid back couple, a crazy-fun wedding party (including a former Front Room couple!), plenty of time to accomplish our photographic goals, a wonderful team of vendors, and a historic venue. This was a genuinely fun crowd to hang out with and our only bit of sadness is that the wedding is over.
In planning their Pabst Best Place wedding, Becky and Jake learned a lot that they can share with others. Advice from the bride: “Give yourself enough time to get things planned. If choosing to do your own signage, invites, place cards etc. make sure to give your self enough time to complete projects so you don’t feel overwhelmed the week of the wedding. Don’t be afraid if some vendors aren’t reaching out until a few weeks ahead of time. I didn’t realize that and it made me feel uneasy. Just remember that they have events every weekend so the communication may be sparse at first. Remember to take a step back and look at your ceremony/reception site. The day happens so fast (I know, cliche) but it seriously does. You will have feelings of wanting to do it all over again the next weekend too!”
Becky not only made all the jewelry for her girls, she also customized their dancing shoes!
Hotel Metro is a great place to get ready for a wedding day. Having the rooftop available for a first look was a sweet bonus!
Honoring the Pabst Best Place theme, rather than a unity candle, Becky and Jake decided to mix hops and barley together in a glass boot to represent their union.
Eron found this sliver of sunshine peaking through the buildings and used it to full effect to make add that “just married” glow to Becky and Jake.
