South Shore Pavilion Wedding: Hannah & Michael!
It is a rare circumstance when we never have to leave Bay View to cover a wedding day, but that was the case with Hannah and Michael’s South Shore Pavilion wedding. We love keeping it in the neighborhood, especially with an awesome couple with a wonderful community of friends and family supporting them.
South Shore Pavilion is one of our favorite places in town for a wedding. South Shore Park has unbelievable trees and there is a casual but classy vibe to the place that we love. It also seems to attract fun couples, at least that has been our experience there. Of course, the fact that our own Neil got married there many years ago probably doesn’t hurt either.
Having a friend officiate your ceremony has never been easier, thanks to the internet, and is a great way to bring in humor, emotional poignancy, and a personal perspective you just can’t get any other way. Favorite line from the ceremony: “Hannah, do you take Michael to be your lawfully wedded husband despite the fact hat he’s a drummer?” Obviously, she said, “I do.”
Some see rain and run the other way. We see rain and we say, “Grab the umbrella and lights! Let’s make something beautiful!” The Front Room team took one for the team on this one, getting real wet in the process, but it was totally worth it for this stunning photo!
Hannah had one last trick up her sleeve: 40 light sabers ready to go for a galactic exit for the ages! Somehow she was able to keep this secret from Michael. As part of the ruse, we took the two of them out back with a couple of light sabers to make some Star Wars art (which became one of our favorite parts of the day). This gave Jamie Diplaris of Simply Elegant time to organize the guests out front for the real surprise. Michael, who is generally pretty reserved, had a glow about him and a huge smile on his face which was matched by Hannah’s expression as she watched him.
