South Shore Pavilion Wedding: Kristen & Dennis!
Kristen and Dennis envisioned a casual, fun-filled celebration for their South Shore Pavilion wedding and that’s just what occurred. No pomp and circumstance or getting ready details for this couple. They were much more interested in genuine experiences and the inspired art that comes from remaining emotionally present. Dennis, a photographer himself, wasn’t too familiar with being on the receiving end of a camera, but his dashing good looks assured his success as a model when the times called for it. Kristen, as beautiful as a princess, is actually a tough-as-nails, comfortable-in-her-own-skin kind of gal. Together, they make such a genuinely sweet couple, it’s no wonder the crowd that assembled to help them celebrate exhibited those same qualities.
Kristen and Dennis didn’t want a ton of posed photos. Their only request was this long line of trees and something featuring the lake. With just a touch of scouting, Eron came up with a plan to accomplish both goals in short order and get them to their party, er, wedding.
After a 15 minute ceremony, everyone had all the reason they needed to spend the rest of the afternoon partying. With their good friend Antone officiating and Kristen and Dennis’s inherent humor on display, the ceremony was perfectly them. We see many couples go through this basic process of entering a ceremony room, becoming the center of attention while publicly declaring their feelings for each other and then processing out. Not for an instance did this moment seem to big for either Kristen or Dennis. It was like this step in their lives was the inevitable next step. The funniest moment was when Kristen had to remove her wedding ring so she could hand it to Antone as part of the ceremony. This was a union truly meant to be.
Velocity was the band that made the people dance.
Dennis’s mom created this amazing Star Wars art (there’s no other word for it) in tribute to the couple’s love of the campy sci-fi classic. Eron knew this had to be the setting for an epic ring shot. When Kristen and Dennis broke out into a simulated light saber battle in the middle of some late-night beauty photos, let’s just say no one was surprised.
