What’s better than Summerfest? More Summerfest. The Big Gig luckily has a Dress Rehearsal every year before the festival starts so we’re happy to have one night more of the fun! Dynamic Events by David Caruso coordinated a wonderful and elaborate night with an appropriate theme – The Greatest Gig Ever. (The floor even said it!) With President Obama’s Inaugural Ball’s Live Band and skillful stilt walkers, it was clear they weren’t messing around this year! 51 years since its inception, the Summerfest Big Gig Dress Rehearsal sends a message – this year’s going to be the best yet.
It was a packed house of dancing and grooving from entertainers and attendees alike. Wildly popular, this event’s tickets are much like any Summerfest event – a hot commodity. The generous Playworks and Sherman Phoenix Project were the beneficiaries this year and it looks like they definitely funded an event worth talking about for years to come. And now that it’s done and gone and the festival’s nearing its end, we’ve just got one question left – what will they do next year?
