Milwaukee Family Photographer: A Rustic Theme!
As a Milwaukee family photographer, we get all kinds of requests for specific locations and styles. However, most commonly, families are looking for our expert guidance as to the most successful approach and options. There are times when we get requests to do a studio family shoot after school with little children, a time we refer to as “the witching hour”. Anything is possible, but we try to put everyone in the best position possible to enjoy their experience and love the images we create together.
When it comes to making an entire family look great, there are many factors we consider including how time of day will work with the light and location as well as how it may effect the mood of the subjects. We have learned many lessons over the many years of family portraits and use all that experience to everyone’s benefit when portraits with their own set of circumstances come our way. Of course, some schedules and families have certain requirements that pose their own challenges. Whether it’s conflicting schedules amongst the family members or just a small window when everyone will be in town at once, we have ways of maximizing any situation.
With Lindsay and Tim, our only challenge was narrowing down all the amazing photos we came up with that day. We suggested the location, the weather took care of itself and, somehow, they managed to get two kids and a dog to listen and look good at basically all times. It was really fun to explore the area with them and make the most out of all we saw. When they told us they were thinking of a more rustic look, we immediately thought about taking them to Antique Center at Wales. They have beautiful grounds, a building with a variety of unique tones and textures and they happen to be the sweetest people around. They even let us use their outdoor antiques as props if we wanted to. Which we did!
