Milwaukee Portrait Photographer: Maddie & Max!
We met Molly and Ed, Maddie and Max’s parents, long before they had any need for a Milwaukee portrait photographer. It was at their Discovery World wedding way back in October 2011. As luck would have it, their wedding coincided with the Brewers shocking return to the playoffs, which they handled brilliantly by setting up a laptop at the reception for guests to huddle around whenever the Brewers were at bat. No one could have predicted when they started planning their wedding that the Brewers would be playing October baseball again.
This start to their marriage was an apt metaphor. Life is full of surprises and even the good ones can come with challenges. The real key is how you handle those surprises together. If Maddie and Max are any indication, Molly and Ed are handling it all with aplomb. These two have come to see us each year of their existence and it is a visit we look forward to every time. They are each a great balance of playful and poised, goofy and graceful, kind and silly. In other words, they are a blast to hang out with and even more fun to photograph.
Being able to hang out with families on an annual basis is one of the joys of being both a Milwaukee portrait photographer and wedding photographer. Not only do we get to use our honed skills to document the ever changing lives of these kids, but we get to see them and their character grow with each shoot!
Spending enough time with kids gives them a chance for their personalities to shine in front of the camera. We always want some idealized images where kids are both looking at the camera with genuine smiles on their faces, but if we can balance those out with some character shots, we feel like we’ve done something special with our day.
