Eat, Drink, and be merry – for in August Laura and Garrick are getting married! This Milwaukee Engagement Session was a special tour of some of our favorite Milwaukee spots.
Garrick is a former bartender, so it only makes sense that some of his relationship with Laura involves adult beverages. Although they enjoy doing everything together, but watching Brewer games, going on brewery tours, and enjoying happy hour take the cake every time.
When Garrick realized he wanted to do those things with Laura forever, he knew he had to propose!
The Proposal Story
In Laura’s words, this is how Garrick proposed.
“This is a long story because Garrick did so much to surprise me and make it special! We had a house warming party in February. I had an inkling he might propose there because all of our friends and family would be there. Well, my girlfriends and their others were in town early to grab drinks the night prior. Garrick made a big deal about getting dressed up and going to View MKE. I wasn’t convinced but then he had my best friend FaceTime and convince us! Not knowing the real reason behind it…”
“…We got to View and had the best table in the house. We headed outside to take a group picture (it was 14 degrees out), He held me back after everyone headed inside and popped the question! He had hung string lights, shoveled the patio, and hired a photographer. After I said yes, our families came out from under the patio cheering (huge surprise!) and firecrackers started going off. We all headed to the lower level to celebrate where he had ordered drinks and appetizers to go around. It really was a magical night.”
Where They’re Getting Married
“We were long distance for the first four years of our relationship. Initially living an hour apart, then living states apart. That really made us realize that we were going the extra mile for each other. Milwaukee is the first city we haven’t been long distance and in order to do that we moved in together! It has become a very special city to us. We do our best to embrace Milwaukee’s charm and all that it has to offer.”
At Front Room, we LOVE our city! We’re glad to see Garrick and Laura have made Milwaukee their home! We’re also excited they’ll be getting married in this wonderful city, too!
The Engagement Session
Not only did they choose a wide variety of sites for their Engagement Session, but they were iconic Milwaukee locations! Because we thoroughly enjoyed working with them for their engagement session, we can’t wait for their wedding!
