Schlitz Audubon Wedding: Annie & Andrew!

We thought Annie and Andrew would be the best ones suited to tell their Schlitz Audubon wedding story. It’s a story about love: for each other, for their friends and families, and for an amazing team of vendors that came together to make their day as wonderful and easy as they could hope for. First some advice from the bride:

“It is your day so make it about you! Serve your favorite beer or cocktail. Don’t be afraid to personalize your ceremony. The food doesn’t have to be fancy. It just has to be delicious. Find vendors that will help support your vision and that will handle everything with ease so you can just enjoy the day.”

“The Schlitz Audubon Nature Center is gorgeous!! Honestly, check it out. It speaks for itself. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather so we got to have our ceremony outside, cocktails on the veranda, and reception in the grand hall. You are in good hands with Jessica. So check it out!”

“For our cake, we picked Dina Menzl-Russo because she is the ONLY person I would get cake from. I don’t even really like cake but if it’s Dina cake I cannot resist. Not only are her cakes the best out there but the portion sizes are huge. Our guests were just blown away. We did a cake that looked more like a groom’s cake. It was a stack of books to represent the bride. I’m an avid reader and have a Bachelor’s Degree in English and the 2nd part of the cake was a camera to represent the groom. He is an artist and teacher that has a degree in photography.Dina was also able to make a cake that was untraditional and representative of us and I was so thankful for that.”

“We have all been to events where the food is less than memorable or honestly just not good. That will not be the case if you choose Saz’s. Our guests could not say enough about how delicious it was. We chose to do family style and I’m so happy we did. The Brisket was to die for! I mean it was all yummy but that was my favorite. And you of course have to have Saz’s famous mozzarella sticks!”

“There are a million DJs out there and I am so happy we chose Double Platinum. They are so easy to work with and get back to you right away when you have questions. They did the ceremony as well as music all night and it was flawless. All of our guests could tell we really had a hand in picking the songs and I’m so happy they followed our list because it made it that much more personal to us. The set up was beautiful with pipe & drape and up lighting. It just took the venue to another level.”
