We’ve already bragged about how wonderful their story is, but can you blame us for not being able to get enough of Kelly and David’s wedding day? At the Pfister Hotel, everything was absolutely perfect for a wedding twenty-two years in the making.

One of the perks of having your wedding later and after your children are grown is that you can have them in your wedding party. Their two sons were David’s best men and had the room roaring with laughter as they gave their speeches – they’ve literally know their parents their entire life so they have a few funny stories tucked up their sleeves.

But wedding planning is always stressful to a certain degree, especially if you’ve been looking forward to it for a long time.

To minimize wedding planning stress, Kelly recommends, “Hire a wedding planner if at all possible. There are so many details you don’t even realize that tie together and are all dependent on each other. The wedding planner knows things you never thought of, knows how things work and can handle all the details so you don’t have to figure it out on your own and add more stress to the planning process. Make sure your planning is completed several weeks before the wedding so you are not stressed out and have time to breath and sleep before the wedding weekend. This allows you time to handle any last minute issues or details that may come up. It will also allow time to ensure you provided all of the details to your vendors so that everything you want done for your wedding is done and that it is everything you envisioned.”
