It’s always refreshing and terrific to meet a couple so in love, it’s obvious. Alex’s infectious grin never faltered throughout the day and Josh was forever sweet and kind to his bride to be. The day started off at the Madison Concourse Hotel, a terrific space with rich wood and warm walls, and a convenient 3 minute walk to their wedding venue. Alex was well prepared, in fact, she was one of the most well organized brides we’ve seen this year – no easy feat! She made an elaborate binder that Mandie totally appreciated with a chuckle – it had a table of contents, detailed instructions complete with reference photos to help all the friends who completed decor setup at the museum. She advises, “don’t let all the little things overwhelm you. Definitely plan, but you’re going to get to the day, and you’re going to enjoy every minute of it.”
Although well planned, a wedding never goes exactly perfect, which sometimes is the best part. They appreciated the small mistakes of the day – “a ceremony that was perfect in its imperfectness (groom missing cue, thinking nobody could hear us, Jay (officiant/brother) falling into the stream (gracefully).” These unique moments add charm and good stories to reminisce about years from now. But from the gorgeous rooftop ceremony to the nighttime stroll we took to the Capitol building, the day was wonderful. We wish Josh and Alex all the best for many years to come!
