Leslie and Nick’s proposal story is a sweet one – incorporating all the good elements: a clever guise to plan without giving it away, a sentimental location for it all to go down and even a secret engagement dessert party to finish the night off strong. We appreciate his effort and planning, so we’ll let you read about it from their own words. But their River Club of Mequon wedding was absolutely breathtaking. A clean and timeless color palette, an amazing sweets table from Simma’s and some friends providing music during the ceremony as well as cocktail hour put a personalized stamp on the night.
There’s only one thing left to say after a wedding this beautiful – how’d you do it? Do you have any advice for other couples?
“Enjoy the process. You will truly never plan such a big party like this ever again. Remember this day is for you and your spouse, and keep that in mind when making decisions. Trying to please everyone will be hard, and you have to keep in mind what is truly important to you as a couple. Don’t stress, because it will all work out in the end. If people offer to help, definitely take them up on it! You won’t know all of the details that need attending to on the big day until it’s happening and it’s great to have people being there for you.”
