You can’t miss this stately building on Milwaukee’s Lower East Side. 1451 Renaissance Place is an elegant building from the early days of our city. It’s exterior is a beautiful nod to European architecture and their easily available (and free!) parking is a huge bonus for anyone planning an event in the city!

The Team

Andrea and Scott make up the events team at 1451 Renaissance Place. They are a powerful duo who can not only help you book the perfect venue, but also help coordinate the event and walk through the whole process with you from start to finish!

Style of the space:

Historic and grand – not a typical event space.

They only book one event at a time, so it is private. It feels like a special place, tasteful and elegant, with minimal decor so you can make it your own.

History of Renaissance Place:

It was built in the early 1900s as a Christian Science Church.

The architect was Solon Spencer Beman, who also designed the town of Pullman, IL.

It was converted into an event venue in the 1980s.

The arched area on the stage used to be a pipe organ loft. You can see the sloped ceiling in the cocktail room, that is from the pew seating that used to be upstairs.

The metal air duct covers match the stained glass of the adjacent windows. (Beautiful!)

1451 Renaissance Place is located at 1451 N Prospect Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53202. The main ballroom can seat 370 for dinner with a dancefloor, and 460 without.
