Discovery World & Grain Exchange Wedding by Events to a T!

Grant and Alisha’s Discovery World and Grain Exchange Wedding may have taken place in some of Milwaukee’s hottest spots, but the planning started half a world away. Grant was living in Austria for his job – but hey – a professional hockey player goes where the ice takes him! He knew Alisha was the one when she followed him to Europe, but their nuptials brought them back to Milwaukee where they were joined by friends and family who were ecstatic to celebrate this couple’s deep love. It was a very special day that we were honored to be a part of.

The epic moments started first thing in the morning with some beautiful details and emotional moments including a first look that had us reaching for tissues. The moments kept on coming and one epic moment after another made it hard to leave. We were just so inspired to keep shooting – to keep catching the love, camaraderie, and joy as Alisha & Grant started their life together.

Congratulations Alisha & Grant – we wish you a lifetime of happiness. Wherever it may take you!

Alisha’s bridal accessories were all very special. The earrings are from her nieces/ flower girls, her shoes are from Grant’s sisters, and the necklace is made from Grant’s birth diamond. Grant’s mom had always wanted to set the diamond in a necklace for his future wife and now her wish has come true. The purse Alisha carried was custom made from her mother and grandmother’s wedding dresses and the pins on the inside were her grandfather’s. We love how family pieces like this bring a little legacy to the wedding day.

We cannot stress enough the importance of what a good planner can bring to your wedding. The Events to a T team is amazing – they think of everything and help bring together the day flawlessly. When you are bringing together so many amazing locations and vendors, it’s so nice to have a point person who isn’t you. You can just relax and focus on getting married!

We love this shot of the dudes together – the Milwaukee Marriott Downtown was the perfect location for getting ready. Grant’s choice of sunglasses as a gift for his guys is a great choice!

This family-oriented pair opted to have their closest people there for the first look. It was an emotional moment for all. Including us!

It was hard for us to tell family and friends apart as the day wore on – everyone blended together in beautiful support of this couple. Everyone had so much love, and warmth. When that happens, it’s simply magical.

We had the privilege of scoping out the new rooftop space at Kimpton’s new hotel – The Journeyman – in the Third Ward. These 360 views of Milwaukee are breathtaking!

The room reveal is another special moment that we adore. That moment when all your thinking, vision, planning, and hard work come together to celebrate your love. The first time a couple sees it is always special. Plus – LOOK at these details – its enough to make any bride jump with excitement!
