River Club of Mequon Wedding: Rachel & Christian!

Rachel and Christian were blessed with an unbelievably beautiful day for their River Club of Mequon wedding! From the beginning, they were more interested in creating a day for their guests than to shine the spotlight on themselves. Once they saw the River Club of Mequon (and met the irascible Larry Kreiner, the man of boundless energy that personally sees to each couple’s entire experience there), Rachel and Christian knew they had found the perfect all-in-one venue for the day they were envisioning.

We were so happy to have a nice long morning of coverage with Rachel! It gave Neil plenty of time to make some beautiful images of all her most important details. Being part of a wedding morning also gives us a chance to document the rising emotions as the morning wanes and we get closer and closer to the ceremony. Everyone seeing Rachel come out in her dress was definitely the emotional high point of the morning.

If your goal is to have the most stress-free wedding day possible, having your ceremony and reception in one location is a big step in that direction. As far as the experience of the day goes, it’s just so smooth to not have to transport anyone anywhere once everything begins. You can go directly from getting married right into celebrating with all those you haven’t had a chance to greet yet. If you opt for a first look, like Rachel and Christian did, you can even get all the wedding party and family photos done before the ceremony!

A couch in a field? No, that doesn’t just happen!  In this case, a very good friend of Rachel and Christian’s BROUGHT this couch to the wedding precisely for this purpose. It was perfect and a lot of fun to have this awesome touch of class in the middle of the golf course.
