Alice & Lucas – Apostle Islands Wedding Photography

380 miles…7 hours…a car and a ferry is what it took Calfa & Carl to get to Alice & Luca’s wedding celebration in the Apostle Islands. But it was so worth it! The journey was no short one for the couple either. They traveled over a great distance of space (they live in Minneapolis) and time (they have known each other since they were 6!) to get to this very special day.

From the start of the rehearsal, it was evident that Alice & Lucas are not only very much in love…but are a ton of fun! The intimate wedding ceremony took place on the lawn of the groom’s parent’s home overlooking Lake Superior (which got a lot of good use before the ceremony with a group swim and waterfight!).

Front Room’s Favorite Wedding Details:

-The ice cream that the bride skillfully worked into the day…following the ceremony. It had special meaning as ice cream is Alice’s favorite from Cape Cod, Massachusetts where she visited her grandparents every summer growing up.

-Alice & Lucas know how to arrive in style…they showed up to the reception via tugboat!

-Five Card Studs…we love when a wedding gets to rock out with these guys! Something Alice & Lucas definitely took advantage of.

The day of the rehearsal ended with a beautiful sunset and promises of a beautiful day ahead…
