Cuvee Wedding: Joslyn & Charles!

When Joslyn and Charles called us about their Cuvee wedding, they were coming into their photo search like a lot of couples:  they knew what they liked when they saw it, but that was about as far as their photo knowledge went.  Once they came to the studio to sit down and hear about our philosophy of enabling a very real experience, we all knew it was a perfect fit.  After all, they weren’t looking for a photo shoot, they were looking to have a perfect wedding day with their friends and family.

“The first look was so special. With my dad first and then my husband. This gave us the opportunity to capture the most intimate moments of the day. Plus, it gave Charles and I the chance to enjoy all of our guests during the wedding,” explained Joslyn.

Joslyn’s first look with her dad was a special experience which was almost as much about her dad’s love of his suspenders as his daughter. Having a first look is a wonderful, intimate payoff to all the build up leading up to the wedding day.  It is a quiet moment for just the couple to realize together that the day is finally here. The other persuasive incentive to choose to do a first look is that you get a chance to get all the wedding party and family photos accomplished before the ceremony.  This allows you to flow right into cocktail hour after the ceremony and begin the celebrating in earnest.

Joslyn and Charles loved the idea of having both ceremony and reception in one venue, creating an event that required very little of their guests.  Having an entirely Cuvee wedding was the perfect answer.  Cuvee is a great option for couples looking for an all-in-one space for a wedding with a guest list in the 100-125 range. Their guests filled the space very comfortably.  After a cocktail hour filled with laughter and hugs, everyone was surprised to see how the ceremony space was transformed into a beautiful ballroom adorned by with Brew City Petal’s flowers. There was a dessert table filled with Classy Girl Cupcakes, tempting everyone throughout their amazing Zilli’s catered meal.  After everyone had their fill, DJ L Boogie kept everyone dancing well into the night.
