Engine Company 3 Wedding: Liz & Keith!
Liz and Keith had a perfect October day for their Engine Company 3 wedding which provided wonderful opportunities for their first look and photos around downtown. After making the most of the Riverwalk area, they met their families for photos so that once their ceremony began, the rest of the day was spent enjoying their Engine Company 3 wedding. We always encourage couples to prioritize their experience as much as their photos. As long as that’s happening, we can make all the photos we need in the little windows we carve out of an otherwise pretty full schedule.
For Liz and Keith, it’s the small things that are so important. They weren’t looking to plan a big, bold day, but rather a small and intimate gathering of their closest friends and family. They don’t seek the limelight or throngs of admirers that many brides and grooms create. In fact, Liz’s sister and Keith’s sons were their entire wedding party. It was a really meaningful day shared with those they love most.
We have all kinds of clients with a range of styles and priorities. Our goal is always to reflect those characteristics in the photos. For Liz and Keith, it was much more important to have time with everyone than to take them away from their party for an extended photo session. Therefore that became our priority as well! It really is always about communication for us. Taking the time to really get to know a couple allows for them to have not only the photos they want most but to have the wedding day they envision.
Liz’s beautiful dress was found at White Dress Bridal Boutique!
It wasn’t hard to choose a first look location: they decided to go back to the scene of their first kiss, the Third Ward. It doesn’t get more romantic than that.
