Geneva National Wedding: Sara & Steve
Sara and Steve and all their family and friends are from Chicago. They went through all kinds of thoughts on how to put their wedding together. The more they thought about it, the more they realized they wanted to create a weekend “getaway” for their guests. That naturally led them to the idea of Lake Geneva, where Steve and his family have a home nearby. They have all (including Sara) spent many getaways at the home and at Geneva National. Steve and Sara go up almost every weekend in the summer and fall. It is a very special place for all of them that holds lots of wonderful memories. On top of that they really loved the gorgeous view from the ballroom.
They immediately loved the idea of a Grand Geneva wedding. To strike that perfect balance of Chicago style and lake country living, they enlisted the help of Tiara and her Events to a T crew. That too was an immediate and perfect fit. If there’s anyone that knows how to relax in style, it’s Tiara.
Sara and Steve met seven years ago while out for her sister’s birthday. They caught each others eye and were pretty much inseparable ever since. Over the years, they went through the push and pull that all couples experience, but came out the other side stronger than ever. What really completed them was the addition of their son Stephen. He made them stronger than ever. The love that they have for each other has grown since they became a family of three. Already a family in every sense of the word, Steve decided this past New Year’s Eve to drop to a knee and make it officially official.
That began a process culminating in a wonderful day in June, with crazy rain, gorgeous clouds, and enough love in the atmosphere to throw off any weather system. Sara had her sisters to help prepare her for her first meeting of Steve that day (much like their first ever meeting!) and Steve had all he could hope for: the mother of his son and the woman of his dreams spending the rest of her life with him. With Events to a T in charge of everything else, they had nothing else to do that day but enjoy each other and all the guests that gathered to honor them.
Other contributors to the fun and beauty of the day were Sound by Design providing entertainment, Impressions by Esther providing the beautiful flowers, Paperwhites created all the stationery, and Drape Kings, Canopies and BBJ Linens combined to create the look of the ballroom. All in all, it was an all-star team that for Sara and Steve. It’s that kind of thorough preparation that allowed them to not have a worry and just enjoy their day.
