Schlitz Audubon Nature Center Wedding Photography

I go way back with Jen; starting with meeting her at her cousin’s wedding about twelve years ago and then through various veterinary interactions. And, in a twist of fate, we figured out that I’ve been friends with Patrick’s cousin Jackie for years, as well. With all these coincidences in place, when Jen and Patrick called me about their wedding, it felt like everything was coming together just as it should.

After their engagement session, Jen was known around our office as the Laughing Bride. Indeed, her laugh is infectious and that quality was referenced throughout the wedding. We had a great time all around starting with a beautiful ceremony at Schlitz Audubon Center. We had a chance to roam the grounds afterward with the whole wedding party before departing for Renaissance Place.

I hadn’t been to Renaissance Place all year and it was great to be back there. I love the classic feel of the venue, the great light that streams in through the tall windows and the staff is always incredibly helpful. We even got to end the night with a couch on the sidewalk juxtaposing the character’s in the wedding party with the architecture of this historic venue. I don’t know where that couch came from, but we were glad to have been able to use it as the images we made with it were simply classic.
