Madison Wedding Photographer: Brittany & Brandon!
We knew Brittany and Brandon would be amazing clients from the first moment they contacted us. While searching for a Madison wedding photographer, they stumbled upon an amazing group that we are a part of called Fearless Photographers. Anyone citing Fearless Photographers as their source is a good indication they feel passionate about maximizing art from their wedding. Brittany and Brandon’s wedding somehow surpassed all our expectations. Their passion for art, each other and their families is all we ever ask for in a wedding day.
It was truly a memorable day. The rainy weather was unsurprising for late April in Wisconsin, but Brittany and Brandon were troopers throughout. Brittany in particular is one of those people whose positivity is positively contagious, no matter the circumstances. Without a doubt, marrying Brandon, despite any compromising weather, was plenty to leave Brittany in a glowing place.
Their ceremony was at St. Bernard in Middleton, where the stained glass is of particular beauty. In fact, it was so striking we were able to use it as a background for bridal details and, after the ceremony, for some beautiful photos of Brittany and Brandon. From there, the bridal party made a quick stop at the Madison Club for photos. We couldn’t stay long because there was another wedding starting soon, but this was a special place for them because it’s where their rehearsal was the night before!
The party culminated at Lake Windsor Country Club, where Jukebox Bandstand provided the entertainment and lighting, Oregon Floral provided the flowers and the cake was by Creative Confections. However, the story of Brittany and Brandon’s wedding reception wouldn’t be complete without the story of their first dance. Firstly, while Jukebox Bandstand provided most of the entertainment, Brittany’s dad actually sang their first dance song Elvis’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love”. Nothing beats a dad serenading his daughter and her new husband sharing their first dance. There was nary a dry eye in the house.
Overall, this wedding had all the elements we always hope for: passion, emotion, humor and beauty. Many years of happiness for Brittany and Brandon!
Brittany and Brandon shared this spontaneous blind reveal when nature called and put them in each other’s vicinity. It wasn’t easy for Brandon to control the impulse to sneak a peek at his bride, but he persevered and maintained the surprise for the ceremony.
Brittany LOVED the stained glass at St. Bernard (and for good reason) so we made sure to work it into as many photos as we could!
They carried on the family tradition of drinking from this ornate, double sided German cup. Legend has it that whoever finishes first will have the upper hand in the marriage. Of course, the groom’s cup is a whole lot larger than the bride’s cup, so, clearly, the fix is in on this “contest”.
