Marcus Center for the Performing Arts Wedding: Rachel & Al!

Rachel and Al’s Marcus Center for the Performing Arts wedding was a simply stunning affair. From the exquisite Church of the Gesu to the reimagined ballroom at the Marcus Center, there wasn’t a moment of the day when most of one’s senses were not awakened. Rachel and Al assembled an all-star team to create and run their day so they could make sure to enjoy their Marcus Center for the Performing Arts wedding as much as possible. Between Michelle Durpetti Events and Erin McDonald Designs, Rachel and Al didn’t have a care in the world all day and every single guest was blown away when they walked into the ballroom for the first time.

We have been working with Rachel’s family for years. Starting with her sister Kate’s wedding and followed by her brother Nick’s senior portrait. We just had the pleasure of meeting Al’s family but they (literally) embraced us as one of their own immediately. These are two wonderful families with hearts of gold and spirits to match. We pour ourselves into this endeavor and families like these that make our endless efforts completely worth it.

Al had been saving this bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label for a special occasion ever since his brother (and best man), Andrew gave it to him for being his best man at his wedding. The men made quick work of the bottle and then had the brilliant idea to each sign the empty bottle so Al would always have this memento from his wedding day.

There was still a little color left in the leaves even though the calendar had just flipped to November!

We always love the cinematic feel of the Milwaukee River flowing through downtown. The combination of the architecture and shimmery reflections is always a winner.
