It’s Back!
The Milwaukee Art Museum grand reopening concluded a six-year, $34 million renovation and expansion project. Not since the unveiling of the Calatrava portion of the Milwaukee Art Museum has the lakefront been so abuzz about the happenings at Milwaukee’s crown jewel.
The re-envisoning of the original interior space is inspiring. For those of us that have been visiting this space all our lives, it feels both familiar and fresh. It’s fun to wander through the space discovering where some of our favorite pieces ended up and seeing some remnants of the past making another appearance.
The past month has been filled with ribbon cuttings and events to celebrate the achievement. If you haven’t visited yet, make a point to come down. The current show, Larry Sultan: Here and Home, runs through January 24th.
