Milwaukee Commercial Photographer: Goodwill Community Impact!
As a Milwaukee commercial photographer, we get to interact with many different people and types of organizations on a week-to-week basis. We have a long-standing relationship with Goodwill Industries that has led to some of our most visible commercial work photographing for their billboards. Our relationship with them goes beyond billboards, much like their relationship with the community goes beyond offering discount items to the public and a place to donate unwanted household goods. Not everyone knows that Goodwill is heavily invested in job creation, not only within their organization but also in the community at large.
There are many people in the community that have heart and talent but have also had a downturn in their luck. It’s amazing how much a life can change, for good or bad, through seemingly small steps in one direction or the other. Goodwill tries to tip the balance from bad to good for those it can help. They have always made it a part of their mission to reinvest in their community believing that this type of investment brings joy to a few and a greater level of success to all. We could not be happier to help with their efforts as we have always shared this conviction.
For this shoot, we were highlighting a local woman with hearing challenges who was given a leg up by Goodwill and found her life’s next chapter with the Walgreens organization. There are so many ways to contribute to your community and the effect that contribution has on one’s sense of self-worth is immeasurable. Now society has a more productive member and Walgreens has a motivated employee. All she needed was a chance. Thanks to Goodwill, she now has one!
We are honored to share her story here as well as the story of Goodwill.
