Christi and Josh:  From Bay View to The Riverside

When Christi and Josh called us, they weren’t simply looking for a Milwaukee engagement photographer.  They were searching for the right vision to interpret their wedding day the way they wanted to remember it.  Sitting down at our studio and swapping Avett Brother stories took care of that search.  The engagement session was a way to further the relationship and get them comfortable in front of the cameras.  It was also their way of working their four-legged friend Lucy into at least a few photos.

In all our photo shoots, but especially engagement sessions, variety is key.  We try to really mix it up with regard to location, lens selection, lighting and mood.  Christi and Josh’s session ran the gammut with a variety of casual, formal, outdoor, and indoor! It doesn’t get much better than that!

We always love getting the whole family involved in an engagement session.  Lucy wasn’t as fond of the camera as the camera was of her, but you’d never know it from the stoic pose she struck in this photo!

Through some strong connections, we were able to photohgraph in the Riverside Theater too! What an opportunity!  It’s not everyday you get the run of one of the most beautiful theaters in Milwaukee and we certainly made the most of it.

It’s a real treat when an engagement session is timed to start during beautiful light and end just after sunset.  It gives us a lot of options.  In this case, we ended downtown just as the lights started to glow. A perfect way to wrap up the session.
