Milwaukee Engagement Photographer: Jules & Tony
As a Milwaukee engagement photographer, you have to be ready for just about anything: anxious couples, unpredictable weather, pets who may or may not like cameras…with Jules and Tony we had a little bit of all of that!
We have learned over the years that a questionable weather forecast is guaranteed to clear up if you reschedule an engagement session. When we see crazy weather predictions we tend to roll with it and hope for the best. In fact, this stubbornness in the face of weather radars has helped us hone our bad-weather shooting and resulted in some of our favorite images.
Jules and Tony were willing to chance the weather and were rewarded with a full rainbow (the perfect irony for this non-cheesy couple) as well as some dramatic clouds. Trying to squeeze some photos in before the downpour also added a touch of urgency to the process which has a magical way of dispelling any nerves that may have crept into a couple’s psyche about being photographed.
It’s these types of shared experiences during an engagement session that lead to a very tangible understanding of how we work, what it feels like to be in front of our cameras and how awesome the results are. Not only does all of this lead to wonderful memories and images, but it culminates in a confidence in the entire process for our wedding couples. This confidence goes a long way toward eliminating photo-related stress and maximizing the entire experience on the wedding day.
We love the symbolism of the private moment shared behind an umbrella as the sun is breaking through in the background. Rain and clouds will happen in life, but there’s always a shining sun waiting to break out.
