Milwaukee Engagement Photographer: Mollie & Nate!
Mollie and Nate were looking for more than a Milwaukee engagement photographer. They were looking for someone to capture their burgeoning family, featuring the irrepressible Louie. Of course they also signed us up for wedding photography which will be happening this Saturday! Stay tuned for more another installment of the Life of Mollie and Nate in the coming weeks.
Mollie and Nate wanted to cover a lot of ground at their engagement session, going from casual to formal, from a family day at the park to downtown date night. Every engagement session is as different as every couple. We make it a big priority to make sure our images reflect the style and nature of those in the photo. To this end, we often get together weeks before the session to discuss the options and make a plan. Sometimes just having a chance to chat is helpful and sometimes we get on a roll and really come up with some ideas that you may not have thought of but that really get you excited for the experience.
Having two levels of outfits is a great way to get a ton of variety and value from your engagement session. It’s your chance to have amazing pictures of the two of you as you are, which can mean a lot of things to different people. For Mollie and Nate, that meant a cozy outfit for the park and a date night outfit for the skyline. A nice bonus for them is all these views are basically in the same area! It’s amazing what you can do if you just keep turning around!
As afternoon turns to dusk, there’s a whole shift that happens in a city. The golden light of the setting sun gets weaker and weaker until it is gone completely. As the sky gets richer, the glow of the city lights gets more intense. Both looks are chock full of potential. Not every engagement session ends up having that kind of variety. But, when they do, it’s a real treat.
