Milwaukee Engagement Photographer:  Out in the Country

Just because people sometimes find us by searching “Milwaukee Engagement Photographer” doesn’t mean all our engagement sessions are urban and happen in Milwaukee.  Part of the beauty of Wisconsin is that just outside the big city is farmland and rolling hills as far as the eye can see.  Having simple nature at your fingertips is one of our favorite aspects of this area.

Samantha and David definitely wanted to capture that feel for their engagement session.  Tasked with the responsibility of realizing their vision, we set out to find the craggiest trees, the barns with the most character, and the space for their dog to roam free when she wasn’t needed in front of the camera.

An engagement session is about feeling comfortable with the camera, with your wardrobe, and in your own skin.  For Samantha and David, getting all dolled up in evening wear just wasn’t them.  They needed their flannels, their favorite quilt, and even busted out the Packer gear.

In the end, we ended up with a lovely portrait of a new family starting on their journey and continuing to find find their way together.
    

We even got to make a Save the Date card for them that ties together their Bohemian Chic wedding!  We love it when a project comes together!
