Abby and Bryson didn’t have any specific goals for their engagement session. They just wanted an urban look and thought we could meet on the corner of 2nd and St. Paul.
Well, that is the location of our good friends at the Pritzlaff building! As a surprise to them, we made a call and arranged to not only meet them outside their favorite building in town, but we took them to the roof of that building! That made rock stars out of all of us!
We also explore the surrounding neighborhood and actually got stuck literally on the wrong side of the tracks. That gave us a great opportunity to shoot a number or train shots. Since we were still waiting for the very long train to finish up, we had plenty of time to find some views never seen before in Milwaukee. Shooting from the ramp that allows access to the underside of the train while its passing overhead is something that is equally rare and frowned upon by the Amtrak folks, we found out.

We love this couple in silhouette and it turns out this was one of the couple’s favorites too…it now hangs in their home as the largest print made from the session!
