Carissa & Jason:  Under Two Months To Go!

It was last April that Carissa and Jason called us looking for a Milwaukee wedding photographer.  Now, we are under two months until their wedding this June!  It’s amazing how quickly we go from introducing ourselves to a couple to showing them all the wonderful imagery from their wedding day.

It’s always special to have a moment in between the actual booking and the wedding day for an engagement session where we get to introduce them to the business end of our lenses. It was a gorgeous August day at the lakefront and certainly a preview of things to come.

We explored Lakeshore State Park and then spent some time strolling around the Milwaukee Art Museum grounds which is the site of their wedding! We love the idea that these images will fit thematically with their wedding images!

Of course, we were able to really take our time with their engagement session and explore the area much more than we could on their wedding day.  Going to the wedding day location for an engagement session is also a nice way to accomplish some of the wish list that develops as you dream about wedding day possibilities without trying to squeeze too much in on a wedding day.

Getting the best light of the day is always a key to beautiful photos.  On a wedding day, we have less control over the timing, however, at an engagement session we can make sure we have and use the best light of the day.  Whether we shoot with it or against it, great light is great light!
