Pfister Wedding Photography – Laura & Michael!

Laura, Michael & their friends and family are from Illinois and Iowa for the most part. But Milwaukee is the city where it all began for Laura & Michael. So they chose to come back here for their nuptials.

Going to Marquette is something of a family tradition, as is meeting the love of your life while attending school there.

The couple does have some family in Milwaukee. And it just so happens that Karen, The Cake Lady, is one of those family members. And everyone at Front Room loves Karen, (and her delicious treats), so this wedding was extra special to us. It was fun to see her as a bridesmaid!

Laura’s Justin Alexander gown was amazing even before she put it on.

Laura has had her hair done by the same hairdresser since middle school. Having weathered Laura’s teen years, it only seemed appropriate to reward her with the honor of doing Laura’s wedding day hairdo…she came all the way to Milwaukee for it.

The special relationships that seem to come full circle on wedding day are one of the things we love most. It was a very cool addition to their story.

Judy was a rock star Mother of the Bride…and her dress was seriously fabulous. Check out that neckline! She looked amazing.

The Cake Lady takes her duties as bridesmaid seriously.

We always ask our brides & grooms about special requests before wedding day. And this very close knit family had a wonderful request. Laura wanted to do a first look…with her Dad.

First looks are great. We love to do them. And we encourage them whenever possible. But some couples still want to honor the tradition of not seeing each other until the ceremony. This was a great compromise. It was a very special moment for everyone, full of anticipation and emotion. And Laura & Michael saw each other in the aisle, and not before.

Laura’s bouquet was wrapped with the lace from her mother’s wedding gown and adorned with a photo of her grandma on her wedding day. La Tulipe did an amazing job with not only her bouquet but all the flowers for the big day.

La Tulipe flowers in the Milwaukee sunshine with a happy bride & groom…what could be better than that?

Look at that show stopper from The Cake Lady!

We snuck Laura & Michael outside during their cocktail hour, just before their grand entrance into the reception and caught beautiful light just down the block. Sometimes on wedding day, everything really does fall into place just as planned.

Laura & Michael’s first dance was to Lucky by Colbie Caillat.

“Isn’t She Lovely?” by Stevie Wonder was a very appropriate song for the Father-Daughter dance…Laura looked radiant.

The groom and all his men sported Nike ID sneakers at the reception.
