Shully’s Watermark Wedding – Wisconsin Fall Nuptials
Sarah & Kevin’s Shully’s Watermark wedding was a long awaited event for the Front Room Family. It feels like we have known this couple forever and they are now a very special part of our family which is bound to happen when you book your photographer nearly 2 years before your wedding! We are so excited to share some of our favorite moments from their day!
Sarah’s Lazaro gown from Oncewed was an unbelievable work of art!
A Wisconsin Love Story
Sarah & Kevin met in pharmacy school. One of the benefits of meeting your future spouse in school and in the same program is that you have someone to talk to who gets it. They love that they can tell each other their pharmacy stories and they can understand exactly what the other is talking about.
We adore the way Sarah described their relationship to us:
“We like to cook. We love Star Wars, Star Trek and Kevin loves dinosaurs. We’re geeks.”
We love this girl – how funny is this shot?!
Wedding Details
Sarah & Kevin selected purple and gray for their wedding palette. We love the choice. It was a perfect way to compliment the fall foliage that was just starting to pop and it fit with their venue, Shully’s Watermark, exquisitely.
When asked about what their favorite wedding details were – Kevin and Sarah answered with the same details. They both noted that they were excited about their favors. A nod to their being pharmacists, each guest received a prescription vial filled with candy.
The couple loves the movie “Up” and found a few ways to integrate their love of that film into their day. Their guest book was a custom poster from Fancy Prints where each guest signed a balloon. Their cake topper from Rosemary Toppers was also the couple from “Up”.
1st Dance – “All of Me” by John Legend
Mash Up of Awesomeness
Sarah and her dad went ALL out on their father daughter dance. It started out with a beautiful ballroom dance which soon switched to a mash up of awesomeness – as Sarah put it- and ended with the secret handshake from the 1990s movie Parent Trap. Everyone was out of their seats and loved every minute of this surprise!
Champagne glasses are antique heirlooms that were used first at Sarah’s Grandmother’s wedding. We love classic pieces incorporated into a wedding that are beautiful and have special family meaning.
Advice from the Couple
Sarah & Kevin kept it short and sweet – but it’s very wise advice.
“Don’t sweat the small stuff and really, most of it is small stuff. Remember its your day.”
