Wauwatosa Wedding Photographer: Marie & Spencer!
Marie and Spencer were looking for more than a Cafe Hollander Wauwatosa wedding photographer. They were looking for an artist that could seamlessly blend into an experience, guiding them at times but also giving them the freedom to experience their wedding day as it unfolds. Marie and Spencer are generally content with taking in a new Game of Thrones episode with their cats or teaming up during a heated trivia battle so they weren’t bent on creating a day to be on center stage. With no wedding party and a modest guest list of 75 people, their wedding was filled with family and close friends that were as thrilled to be there as Marie and Spencer were to have them.
Their ceremony was at Boerner Botanical Gardens, providing an autumnal tree-lined backdrop for the ceremony and the portraits of Marie and Spencer we shot right after. Nothing could rain on their parade that day. Technically rain did fall on their bridal procession, but it certainly didn’t dampen their spirits. They thought of everything and had umbrellas on-hand and used them to their fullest. “The stress is in the details and it’s so much easier to tackle the small stuff when you have the big stuff taken care of,” explained Marie. It was this measured approach to the lead up of their wedding day that really helped Marie and Spencer enjoy every moment.
Their reception at Cafe Hollander was catered by The Lowlands Group and was the perfect fit for this wedding. It was a perfect blend of comfortable and delicious, feeling more like an intimate dinner and party than a formal wedding.
Seeing double? Mirror image? These are actually two rings! One is Marie’s real wedding ring and the other is a $5 ring she bought in hopes of receiving the real thing some day. Clearly Spencer got it just right!
Marie’s beautiful dress is from David’s Bridal!
Marie’s wonderful flowers were from Bank of Memories.
This delicious cake is from Aggie’s Bakery! The dinosaurs were added afterwards and took a little tumble which is is why that icing isn’t perfect.
