Whistling Straits Wedding: Jill & Steve!

Jill and Steve decided the rustic elegance of a Whistling Straits wedding was a perfect fit for them. Where else would a bagpiper fit into the landscape as naturally as the rolling hills and billowing clouds? While that choice was entirely obvious to them, that doesn’t mean their wedding day didn’t come with a host of surprises. Thankfully they were the good kind of surprises. The kind that you plan for others knowing how much they will love them. Jill surprised Steve with a very heartfelt patch in his tie, monogrammed cufflinks, and a passport cover to represent where they have been and where they are headed. Steve and Jill together surprised everyone with personal vows, written for one another directly from the heart. Later that night during his speech, Jay (Steve’s good friend and groomman) surprised Andrew (Steve’s 11 year old son and best man) by acknowledging Andrew’s true role that day as best man.

Jill and Steve are a couple that couldn’t wait to be married and officially start their new family.  While there are many decisions to be made in planning a wedding, Jill and Steve made quick work of it and just saw it as a day to have a blast with everyone they love the most.  It helps when you have The American Club guiding you through the process and providing not only the location but also the cake, flowers, and lighting.  They brought in the incomparable Scottish DJ to blend in completely with the Scottish influenced surroundings at Whistling Straits and keep the party rolling all night.

We ask all couples what advice they would pass on to future brides and grooms to make their wedding experience smooth.  Jill’s response was succinct and totally consistent with who she and Steve are:  “Relax and enjoy it!”

When you surround yourself with the right team of vendors, that becomes very easy to accomplish.
