Wisconsin Club Wedding: Kara & Rob!
Kara and Rob are the perfect blend of laid back and classy, so a Wisconsin Club wedding was a perfect choice for them. They couldn’t have picked a more well-appointed and stately manor to host their wedding. It’s also a venue that is perfectly situated to have an outdoor ceremony followed by an indoor reception without having to flip any rooms. Kara and Rob’s big priority was maximizing their time and fun with everyone that gathered for them and having this smooth transition from ceremony to reception was exactly what they were lo0king for.
Smooth was the key word for this day. Having the talented coordinators at Evenement organizing all the details definitely helped with that. The amount of details to be managed leading up to a wedding is staggering. When it comes to the wedding day, it is invaluable to have people in place to make sure the plans all come together so you can finally enjoy the party you’ve worked so hard to put together. If anyone deserved to just enjoy their day, it was the two of them.
The morning started at Kara’s parent’s condo and Brewhouse Inn and Suites, where each side of the bridal party respectively got ready. Eventually, the ladies joined the men at the Brewhouse Inn and Suites and Rob and Kara got to see each other for the first time. It was a moving moment when they took in the vision of each other as it began to sink in that the day was finally here. After bouncing around town with the wedding party for a bit, we made our way to the Wisconsin Club for the rest of the afternoon and evening.
An outdoor Wisconsin Club wedding is really a special experience. There’s something about an outdoor ceremony on a perfect day that makes everyone feel like someone from up above is smiling down on the couple, and then all of us by proxy. When that ceremony is happening with a stunning mansion in one direction and an exquisite gazebo in the other, it adds an element of elegance that was a perfect fit for Kara and Rob.
Once everyone got inside, they were treated to the amazing Wisconsin Club ballroom decked out in flowers by Impressions by Esther. After some very heartfelt speeches and a delicious dinner by the Wisconsin Club, Kara and Rob fed each other a donut from Holey Moley in lieu of cutting a cake. The dessert table featured mini-deserts from Simma’s which didn’t last long with this enthusiastic crowd. The band, Velocity, got the music and dancing fired up and that fire burned all night long culminating in the one song the band learned specifically at Rob’s request: James Browns’ Sex Machine. They hit it and they never quite quit it. Which was perfect for this crowd.
