Wisconsin Club Wedding: Megan & Bill!

This is a special treat. We were so excited about Megan and Bill’s Wisconsin Club wedding that we went ahead an chose an extra long story to share with everyone right away. There are some days that are so rich with detail, beauty, emotion that it’s easier to fully finish a bunch of photos right away than try to narrow down the list to our norm. Thank god we got as much as we did because much of this day became a blur to Megan and Bill shortly after it ended.  But not all of it.

“Our wedding day was a fabulous blur is how I would describe it!” exclaimed Megan.  “I’ve been told by so many people that you need to take some time and take it all in whenever you can. That would be my advice for others. Whether you’re sitting in front of the church facing the congregation during a reading or while the photographer is getting the group set for a photo or you’re right in the middle of your first dance, bring it back into yourself for a minute and check in with your senses. Sights, sounds, smells, emotions. It sticks with you and it’s how I remember the biggest parts of our day.”

Megan and Bill chose wisely as they planned out their wedding day. While the gentlemen got ready at The Iron Horse, the ladies got ready at The Wisconsin Club, the location of their reception and one of the classiest places to spend a wedding morning. “I had something new (my dress and shoes), something blue (my earrings), something borrowed (my bracelet from my maid of honor) but I didn’t have something old. Then I realized I had some of my oldest and best friends with me and it filled that gap pretty easily.” This is the real emotional content that drives us. We work hard to help couples and families feel so at ease with us that they let themselves really experience the range of emotions that happen throughout a wedding.

Simma’s and Classy Girl Cupcakes teamed up to make sure everyone’s sweet tooth was satisfied.  Belle Fiori provided these beautiful flowers.

“The end of the night ended with two of our favorite “weird” songs – I Can Show You the World from Aladdin and Will You Be There by Michael Jackson (the Free Willy song). All of our friends were on the dance floor surrounding us, singing every word, and it ended the perfect day in the most amazing way.”
